L&rsquo;UAV peut se transformer d&rsquo;une configuration traditionnelle en \u00ab\u00a0X\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e0 une configuration en \u00ab\u00a0H\u00a0\u00bb, en \u00ab\u00a0O\u00a0\u00bb, en \u00ab\u00a0T\u00a0\u00bb ou n&rsquo;importe quelle autre forme n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la mission. Bien qu&rsquo;assez simple d&rsquo;un point de vue m\u00e9canique, l&rsquo;exploit se fait au niveau du contr\u00f4leur de vol qui est capable de stabiliser l&rsquo;appareil d&rsquo;une configuration \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre et, surtout, durant la transformation.<\/p>\n<p>Le but d&rsquo;un tel concept est de pouvoir envoyer un drone dans un immeuble endommag\u00e9 et de rep\u00e9rer de possibles survivants avant de mettre en danger la vie des secouristes.<\/p>\n<p>Dans de futures versions, les chercheurs esp\u00e8rent \u00eatre en mesure de modifier la configuration de l&rsquo;appareil en trois dimensions. Ils aspirent aussi \u00e0 ce que l&rsquo;UAV puisse d\u00e9cider, d&rsquo;une mani\u00e8re autonome, quel est le meilleur trajet \u00e0 suivre \u00e0 travers un b\u00e2timents en ruine et quelle configuration il est pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable d&rsquo;adopter pour y arriver. Ainsi, en situation r\u00e9elle de recherche et de sauvetage, le drone pourrait effectuer la fouille de toutes les pi\u00e8ces d&rsquo;un immeuble et revenir aupr\u00e8s des sauveteurs sans intervention humaine.
