En cas de panne de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice, la pile de secours donnera quelques minutes d&rsquo;autonomie \u00e0 l&rsquo;appareil pour qu&rsquo;il puisse se poser en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Un parachute balistique pourra aussi \u00eatre d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 en cas de perte de contr\u00f4le de l&rsquo;h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re. Son design \u00e0 8 moteurs contrarotatifs plac\u00e9s sur quatre bras en \u00abX\u00bb semblable \u00e0 celui de plusieurs\u00a0drones en fera un appareil tr\u00e8s stable et facile \u00e0 piloter.<\/p>\n<p>Les premiers mod\u00e8les produits devront \u00eatre pilot\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide de commandes \u00e0 bord semblables \u00e0 celles des petits UAV actuels, mais la compagnie pr\u00e9voit que la seconde g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de SureFly sera compl\u00e8tement autonome. Workhorse envisage de pouvoir faire certifier son appareil comme un h\u00e9licopt\u00e8re par la FAA d&rsquo;ici la fin 2019. Le prix demand\u00e9 tournera autour de 200 000 $ am\u00e9ricains.<\/p>\n<h2>Les essais<\/h2>\n<p>Un premier vol d&rsquo;essai \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu lors du CES 2018 \u00e0 Las Vegas le 8 janvier dernier, cependant le vol a \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9 pour cause de mauvaise m\u00e9t\u00e9o. L&rsquo;appareil est rest\u00e9 au sol pour tester ses moteurs. En effet, le prototype n&rsquo;\u00e9tant pas encore r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau, il aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 trop dangereux d&rsquo;entreprendre un vol dans des conditions de bruine. Cependant, Workhorse assure que les mod\u00e8les de production du SureFly seront \u00e9tanches.
