Ces capteurs utilisant un laser rotatif afin de mesurer des distances permettent l&rsquo;\u00e9laboration de cartes 3D tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cises qui sont tr\u00e8s utiles en arpentage et dans la construction. Les perc\u00e9es technologiques r\u00e9centes nous donnent m\u00eame un acc\u00e8s en temps r\u00e9el aux donn\u00e9es collect\u00e9es par ces capteurs. Les professionnels de demain n&rsquo;auront plus \u00e0 attendre le traitement, parfois tr\u00e8s long, de leurs donn\u00e9es et pourront interpr\u00e9ter les cartes g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es en quelques minutes. Un travail de volum\u00e9trie fait \u00e0 pied pouvant prendre entre 5 \u00e0 10 jours peut maintenant \u00eatre fait en une dizaine de minutes et les donn\u00e9es sont imm\u00e9diatement accessibles. Cela repr\u00e9senterait une \u00e9conomie de 3000% par rapport au travail effectuer par une seule personne \u00e0 pied selon James Linke, directeur d&rsquo;une compagnie d&rsquo;arpentage en Australie qui d\u00e9veloppe pr\u00e9sentement sa propre plateforme en association avec l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Sydney dans le New South Wales.<\/p>\n<p>La compagnie fran\u00e7aise Yellowscan et le partenariat suisse Riegl-Aeroscout ont aussi d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des syst\u00e8mes de LiDAR a\u00e9roport\u00e9s qui sont utilis\u00e9s par plusieurs compagnies de g\u00e9omatique et d&rsquo;universit\u00e9s \u00e0 travers le monde. Leurs UAV sont pr\u00e9sentement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s dans plusieurs sc\u00e9narios\u00a0dont l&rsquo;exploitation mini\u00e8re et l&rsquo;inspection de lignes \u00e9lectriques.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;utilisation de donn\u00e9es en temps r\u00e9el sera aussi cruciale lorsque ces appareils seront utilis\u00e9s dans des cas o\u00f9 il serait trop dangereux d&rsquo;envoyer une personne sur place, comme dans le cas des secours apr\u00e8s une catastrophe naturelle.
