Ce nouveau capteur permet des inspections et de la collecte de donn\u00e9es plus pr\u00e9cises et s\u00e9curitaires.<\/p>\n<p>Le capteur <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teraranger.com\/products\/teraranger-one\/\" target=\"_blank\">TeraRanger One<\/a> mesure la distance entre le capteur et un objet en calculant la diff\u00e9rence entre l&rsquo;\u00e9mission d&rsquo;un signal infrarouge et le signal de retour. L&rsquo;avantage par rapport aux capteurs qui utilisent des ondes sonores est que la lumi\u00e8re se d\u00e9place extr\u00eamement plus rapidement que le son, permettant ainsi une fr\u00e9quence de rafra\u00eechissement 100 fois sup\u00e9rieure, 1000 Hz pour le TeraRanger en comparaison \u00e0\u00a010 Hz pour les capteurs ultrasoniques traditionnels. Il est facile d&rsquo;en installer plusieurs sur un appareil gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son poids tr\u00e8s faible allant de 8 \u00e0 10 grammes selon la configuration. Son co\u00fbt peu \u00e9lev\u00e9 le rend plus accessible que d&rsquo;autres capteurs comme les altim\u00e8tres laser ou les LIDAR.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;application permettant d&rsquo;afficher la distance des capteurs par rapport \u00e0 un obstacle donne au pilote une information facilement interpr\u00e9table, augmentant ainsi la perception situationnelle du pilote pour \u00e9viter les collisions. Il est aussi\u00a0plus facile de garder une distance constante par rapport \u00e0 une structure faisant l&rsquo;objet d&rsquo;une inspection ou une altitude pour de la photogramm\u00e9trie pour plus de pr\u00e9cision et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le capteur a une port\u00e9e allant jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 14 m\u00e8tres et une pr\u00e9cision de \u00b14 cm en mode pr\u00e9cision sur presque n&rsquo;importe quel type de surface.
